More about Sara

This is the space where you can learn more about me so that you can decide whether we would be a good fit together for your therapeutic journey.

I am a California Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #142892, currently receiving supervision from Brooklynn Kendall, LMFT #103221. My therapeutic focus is LGBTQ+ affirming care, non-traditional relationships such as ethical non-monogamy and polyamory, working with the kink community, gender identity issues, relationship issues, integration of psychedelic experiences, anxiety, and parents of LGBTQ+ children.

My work prioritizes a safe and comfortable environment for all of my clients to lean into and nurture their authentic selves. One of my favorite quotes is “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are” by Carl Jung. I believe in creating space for clients to redefine their relationships with themselves, those that are important in their lives, and the world around them within a judgment-free zone. My approach to therapy is collaborative and non-pathologizing. I aim to work from a place of empathy and meet you where you are while providing gentle pushes toward new insights. By doing so, I hope to help my clients become who they truly are.

I attended the University of California, Irvine, and received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. I then earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

In my free time, I enjoy going to music festivals, traveling, painting, pole dancing, spending time with my two cats (who may make appearances during online sessions), trying out new recipes, and spending time with my loved ones.
